Michael Brooks is the veteran of more than 20 years of year-round club, high school, summer league, and country club swim coaching. He has worked with all levels, from novice to Olympic Trial athletes. He coaches swimmers ages 8 to 18 so that he can keep the beginning, middle, and end of swimmer development in mind at all times.
Since October 2006 Brooks has been head coach of the York YMCA swimming team in York, Pennsylvania. Before that, he spent two years as the head age-group coach of the Brophy East swimming team in Phoenix, Arizona, and five years as head coach of the York site of the North Baltimore Aquatic Club (Michael Phelps' home club), where he worked with renowned coaches Murray Stephens and Bob Bowman.
Brooks was named both the state Age-Group Coach of the Year and the High School Coach of the Year two times, as well as Coach of the Meet at the YMCA National Championships. His swimmers have raced to well over 150 national
O.Carl Simonton is an impressive doctor and author.. Terkel captures some of the most valuable American minds at just the right moment. It is a skimpy 100-page handful of 100 or so "practice" problems. Doug Weiss is a world-renown counselor, and his materials are the best that I have ever seen (of probably all) for marriage.. The writing style is still the same, though: informal, clear and to the point (I believe this to be the only university level textbook I know to use the word "bulls***" right in the preface). This book constantly refers the reader to the so-far unavailable "The x-Chapters" book; it is somewhat irritating to me that I'll have to get another book.
I wish it had fewer annoying trivial errors (how can you not catch a flipped diode on Fig 1.78?) ; 25 years ought to be enough to get it perfect.
So if you are a newcomer, you could still choose the 2nd edition because you can probably find a bargain now. This book is much more than about losing loved
