Gillian Bronte Adams is a sword-wielding, horse-riding, coffee-loving speculative fiction author from the great state of Texas. A love of epic stories and a desire to present truth in a new way drew her to the realm of fantasy. During the day, she manages the equestrian program at a youth camp. But at night, she kicks off her boots and spurs, pulls out her trusty laptop, and transforms into a novelist.
Magnolia blossoms only when she is on the stage, and Gaylord is never closer to authenticity than when he becomes an actor long enough to woo and marry Magnolia. Suburban gardeners will enjoy adapting these principles to their lot size, situation and available materials. Shimmin completely immerses the reader in the alternative culture, especially when the characters are in Germany. As such, I did enjoy the first third of the book but then it grew so sardonic and acidic that it was hard to appreciate the lessons in the messages.

For example, there is a wonderful explanation of the Blessed Trinity that will give your child a better understanding of this mystery than I've managed to find in any religious education text book.
