While the things he covers in his book are standard marketing know-how topics, it's the manner in which he explains how to implement the techniques he offers that really helped me gain an understanding and clarity I never had.
The three take-aways I got from this book:
-How to implement a marketing "strategy" in which every marketing decision you make has purpose rather than being "tactical" and, really, approaching marketing like throwing spaghetti against the wall and hoping something sticks.
-How to define my "Unique Selling Proposition" and then how to take what makes me different from every other coach out there and make that uniqueness a part of every aspect of my marketing.
-How to effectively use the old school "direct response marketing" (which is actually still alive and well on the Internet and isn't just used for junk snail mail) to find clients. And the ages of your students shouldn't matter because there is something on this CD
