Fearless, independent Kelly Morgan was always ready to meet new challenges. But her self confidence quickly turned to terror when she became a temporary secretary to charming Emory Dearborn at his mansion. For Blackstone was a place of dire warnings, family conflicts, and suspicious accidents. Soon it became clear that Kelly's very life was in danger there, but she had no idea who her enemy was. It could have been almost anyone staying at the house, including Emory Dearborn's two attractive, hostile sons—or even glamorous Clare Boswell, who thought of Kelly as a rival. From the start, Kelly knew her job would last only four weeks. Would she still be alive when the month was over?
James Rhodes, the author of 27 novels, (26 of them were mysteries published by AVALON) was reared in Nebraska but is a California transplant. Currently retired and devoted full time to writing, he's had over 90 short stories published--mostly in the juvenile field. He's also had three one act plays published by Ethridge Publications.
The main author, Arthur Efland is skilled observer and analytician of cultural trends and he (together with co-authors) is able to describe and interpret postmodern culture deeply and precisely. Melody Snow Monroe is amazing! Her characters in this book take you on a journey of strength, struggles, acceptance, passion and love. This was a good read with an interesting concept. Woodward weaves action and adventure together in a tale with a cast of well-developed Canadian characters as they solve a mystery. It is all in standard notation and well notated so one can figure out where on the fretboard and which fingers to use. McDonald knows how to make the story
