Good quality!. Jenny Hall and Iain Tolhurst give us concepts that are directly applicable to most any scale of operation - from the back-yard-gardener to the full-scale-production-farmer. Limitted on the hands-on details
and a little dated in terms of applying use of new equipment. I found it hard to read more than a few chapters at a time, where normally I am propelled through a great novel and can't put it down.
Of the two (this book and Tepper's) I prefer Tepper's but this is a classic and well-written. In 1969 the Unix operating system was born. It is influential and inspiring.
Not a lot of new information in the technical department, though I did pick up some gems in descriptive vocabulary on some difficult to teach skills. The true value of the book is that it is not an academic text book. This book is a biased view of a well educated person who has tunnel vision to the idea of medical treatment. The pacing of the story was still too quick in many place
