Maiming of the Shrew (How to Host a Murder)
This was not an easy read, but it was well worth the challenge. Like I said it's ok, and I don't regret it, but I wouldn't give it more than the three stars.. Highly recommend this book to all movie buffs.. It doesn't bother our H though.
After 3 weeks he sends her tickets to the VIP box to watch a preseason game.
From there the start of the relationship is basically her feeling like she's not good enough and Killian reassuring her every other page.
Some of the words used make me gag a little. Each picture interacts wonderfully with the text, providing context and detail.
This story makes a delightful read-aloud. Dont make the same mistake I did.. The true value of the book is that it is not an academic text book. For the most part it reads like an updated Cliff's Notes version of Vito Russo's groundbreaking overview of homosexuality in the movies, The Celluloid Closet or a cheap rip-off of Ray Murray's excellent encyclopedia of queer cinema,
