After the First World War, Ronald Skirth returned to England and married Ella. He became a teacher and, after he had retired, wrote his memoirs of the First World War. He died in 1977 and is survived by his daughter, Jean. Duncan Barrett is an editor and writer. He grew up in London and studied English at Jesus College, Cambridge.

It did not take very long to become addicted to this book. Resources on matte painting techniques are not easy to find. If Vietnam was the first war televised in American living rooms, the Civil War also was a media first. A very good resource for ESL students (level: beginners and intermediate). The book is worth buying if like me you've read these stories before, but even more so if you haven't read them and especially if you care about Batman and other DC comics characters as they were before becoming mired in endless retcons, reboots, ill-conceived "big events," and an increasingly cynical and "deconstructionist" attitude..
